Easter Worshippers

Posted by Jude

After the attack on Christians in Sri Lanka, Obama tweeted: “The attacks on tourists and Easter worshippers in Sri Lanka are an attack on humanity. On a day devoted to love, redemption, and renewal, we pray for the victims and stand with the people of Sri Lanka.”

Three hours later, Clinton tweeted with similar wording: “On this holy weekend for many faiths, we must stand united against hatred and violence. I’m praying for everyone affected by today’s horrific attacks on Easter worshippers and travelers in Sri Lanka.”

In the prior attack on Christians in New Zealand, Clinton tweeted: “We must continue to fight the perpetuation and normalization of Islamophobia and racism in all its forms. White supremacist terrorists must be condemned by leaders everywhere. Their murderous hatred must be stopped.”

I tried to post a comment about these three tweets at BOTW.  I was quoting the high priests of the Left verbatim.  Surely, the comment should have passed the censors.  Alas, it did not.  Perhaps it was the thrice-repeated word "Christians" that triggered the algorithm to reject the comment.

My fellow refugees, there have been no changes in comment policy at "the world's most credible newspaoer."

  1. The referenced comments avoid Christianity and Christians, the target of the attacks by Muslims, and brings up Islamophobia? A phobia is an irrational fear. Being wary of a group that avows to destroy you or enslave you, is not irrational. It is common senses.

    1. I fail to see why the BOTW "moderator" wouldn't let me post my comment on yesterday's column.

Whether the reason is that the moderator disagreed with Obama and Clinton's views or that the word "Christian" is taboo with leftists, I have decided not to renew my subscription to WSJ. If they don't like my views, why should I spend one dime supporting theirs?

  2. Concur. Makes one think the moderators are being outsourced from another country.

The mere act of delaying a non-offensive comment for hours is an insult. We are not 3rd graders. I will not pay to be treated hat way. Either the moderators are of a very different political bent or are utterly dumb when it comes to the real world.

  3. I looked at the article on WSJ about Trump's tax returns being subpoenaed . The comments are insane and from the usual insane wackos. If moderators were actually doing their jobs, these comments would never see the light of day. Perhaps this is the audience that WSJ is now pursuing. it is tiresome to wade through nonsensical drivel.

    "Easter worshipers" became Christians
